A vigorous draftsman, Cordati has left a substantial corpus of drawings mostly preserved in the family collection. Even in drawing, as in painting, it is possible to follow the artist’s incessant work from the years of the Great War – with the drawings from the notebook (as yet unpublished), of extreme historical and artistic interest – to those of the post-war period, which highlight his refined quality as a portraitist and the mastery of figure composition in space.
